Vision
The Jazz Composers’ Co-op is a dynamic and innovative program designed to cultivate the skills of emerging and experienced Big Band jazz composers in Australia. Leading musicians meet once a month at the City of Sydney Bathurst St. rehearsal venue to provide participants a unique opportunity to hone their compositional craft with a live ensemble of leading Australian Big Band musicians.
Composers in each 3-hour session will have 30 minutes with the ensemble to workshop their piece(s) receiving feedback and guidance throughout the creative process.

In addition to honing their compositional skills, participants will build a network of peers and mentors within the jazz community, fostering future collaborations and career opportunities.
